Share your experiences and help shape the future of research in pregnancy
Research at the Fetal Medicine Research Institute
The Fetal Medicine Research Institute is answering important research questions to:
- improve the diagnosis and treatment of pregnancy complications
- reduce their immediate and long term psychological and physical impact and
- understand and act on the inequalities that exists in the access to quality pregnancy care, from preconception to delivery and postnatal care
To do this, we need your help.
We invite you to sign up to become a citizen scientist
We invite you to become a citizen scientist and share your experiences to help shape the future of pregnancy research. People from all backgrounds are invited to contribute. You can make a real difference. This is a space where members of the public are actively involved in research projects, we call it PPI (Patient and Public Involvement).
What do I have to do?
As a citizen scientist, you can be involved with planning, delivering, and sharing the results of our research. You can be involved as little or as much as you want. Citizen scientists can contribute to our research by:
- expressing your concerns and fears about pregnancy and your suggestions to improve pregnancy care through research
- telling us how would you like our research to be done
- giving your opinion on the information in leaflets, videos, and other media we use to explain our research;
- joining us in research meetings
- sharing your pregnancy journeys and experiences and
- sharing with the community the results of our research
When there are new opportunities to participate in research you will receive an invitation to contribute by email or text message.
